Chair

The design of this chair was inspired by a chair that the craftsman saw many years ago. He attempted to recreate and improve upon the design.

The chair is made from exquisite cherry wood, made by hand and using the time old skills of joinery. The seat was also hand made by Sorkio and upholstered to a high standard.

This piece was submitted as an example of Sorkio’s work and deemed as excellent by his tutors and City and Guilds it helped Sorkio to complete his training as a qualified carpenter of hand crafted, antique furniture.

This table was designed from scratch by Sorkio and uses many of his master skills.

The shaped legs and egg shape table top as well as the beautiful marquetry are wonderful examples of the quality of work that Sorkio can produce.

This table is also made from cherry wood which was sourced from Gloucestershire and the whole table was made by hand using dove tail joints for the drawer.

Every detail was hand made, including the beautifully detailed handle.
